Hello! I'm Dawn
I’m a UX designer and illustrator based in Queens, NY.
My illustration skills are a mix of traditional and digital media, in which ranges from Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, watercolor, ink, gouache, oil painting, graphite, and many more creative mediums. My work mostly consists and elevates themes of Asian identity. Other illustration themes and design fields I involve myself in is food, fashion, travel, environmental, conceptual designs, comics, activism, and zines.
I hold a AAS and BFA in Illustration from the State University of New York Fashion Institute of Technology. I have also completed three minors in History of Art, Sociology, and Asian Studies.
I am part of a world-wide network called Asian Creative Network. Its mission is to connect and empower Asian creatives by providing an inclusive, global platform and resources for active community building, collaboration, and growth.
In my spare time, I like to relax and enjoy new experiences as much as possible when time and my wallet will allow me. I enjoy sightseeing interesting places, trying new cuisines, watching animation shows and films, and engaging in motivational and introspective conversations. I also takes part in hobbies like crafting, cooking, and lifestyle design.
